Tasha Huo

Before getting a blind deal at Warner Bros in 2014, where she wrote a video game-inspired live-action adventure (Torin), Tasha ran a homeless shelter for addicts & felons on Skid Row, studied history and literature at Oxford University, and assisted Tommy Schlamme on Studio 60. She went on to work for the VP of Feature Development at Universal Pictures, where she witnessed the blood, sweat and tears that created such major films as 47 Ronin, Bourne Identity and Battleship. Since then, she’s put her BA in history to good use, penning Cyrus the Great: The First Emperor for Sobini Films and Blood Born, an historical fantasy pilot for Stephen Garrett (Night Manager), currently out with showrunner Dana Stevens. In features, she’s explored action-fantasy with the quippy Fae for EuropaCorp, and a psycho-fantasy thriller for Middleton Media (The Lego Movie), with Floria Sigismondi attached to direct.

After recently developing a pilot for Ubisoft based on their video game, Child of Light, about a young girl’s use of dreams and fantasy to process trauma, she is now currently writing a horror pilot for James Wan and Gaumont TV. She is right now obsessed with blacksmithing and baking.
